Needle Valve
The Batu Valve needle valve regulates and shuts off the flow precisely by means of the needle-shaped conical tip at the end of the stem. It is used in high pressure hydraulic, steam and gas circuits.
A ball valve opens and closes the line; a needle valve is for regulating the flow.

Construction
The end of the stem is machined to a needle-shaped cone. As the handwheel is turned the tip moves towards or away from its seat; the opening through which the flow passes narrows or widens accordingly.
The body and bonnet are steel, stainless steel or brass; the stem is stainless steel (1.4301).

Use
- The direction arrow on the body must point in the direction of flow.
- After the valve has been opened fully, the handwheel is turned one turn in the closing direction (clockwise).
Gland leakage: excessive opening and closing, the nature of the medium or particles in the medium may cause leakage at the gland. Sealing is restored by turning the bonnet nut clockwise.
